Colorado Steel and Cement Producers Are Required to Use SC-GHG for Cost-Effectiveness

    In October 2021, the Colorado Air Quality Control Commission passed a new regulation, Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Energy Management for Manufacturers In Colorado (GEMM). Steel and cement manufacturers complying with GEMM are required to utilize the SC-GHG as the cost-effectiveness threshold for reduction measures being proposed as part of the GEMM rule’s audit requirements.
