    On January 7, 2022, North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper signed an executive order, North Carolina's Transformation to a Clean, Equitable Economy, that encourages state agencies to incorporate the updated Interagency Working Group on the Social Cost of Greenhouse Gases estimates "into agency decision-making processes that impact GHG emissions, even if guidance has not been issued for that decision-making context." 1
